An Important Race for November 4th
Election of 15 Clark County Charter Review Commissioners
Clark County’s Home Rule Charter, often referred to as “the charter”, is the guiding document for Clark County government. It is somewhat like a constitution but provides more opportunity for citizen input.
In 2014 Clark County voters made the decision to use this form of government, which became effective January 1, 2015. At least every 5 years we elect 3 commissioners from each of the 5 Clark County council districts. These 15 commissioners review the charter and propose amendments for voter approval in the following November general election.
The commissioner positions are two years, non-partisan, and unpaid.
Can you see why this is an important race? Great!
You can find your county councilor district on your voter registration card or when voting materials arrive from the election office.
